An alumnus of Bangalore University as well as Kanpur University, he undergone Cardiac Anaesthesia Training from UK (Sheffield), Prof P M Chandrasekhara was a faculty member of MS Ramaiah Medical College and Vydehi Medical College Hospital, Bengaluru.
As an academic physician, he has made significant contributions to promoting knowledge and practice of anesthesiology during his tenures as the Head of Department of Anesthesiology at various Medical colleges in Hubli, Bellary and Bengaluru and at Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology, Bengaluru.
